NBA 2K17 Rating Differences Compared With Previous Version

The release of NBA 2K17 is around the corner.

One of the best parts about the beginning of the NBA season is the release of NBA 2K’s annual hoops game. This year there has been a big social media push with player screenshots and their ratings to help promote the game.

Fans will have a chance to take a sneak peek through released NBA 2K Player Ratings, all thanks to Ronnie Singh of 2K Sports. Singh has been sending player screen captures and their corresponding overall ratings through Twitter.

Here are some of the latest NBA 2K17 Player Ratings releases.

1. Rudy Gobert - 81

Rudy Gobert re-tweeted @Ronnie2K's screenshot showing his 81 rating and new haircut here. Some Twitter users commented on how skinny his computer rendition is.

Rudy Gobert will eventually get better as the years progress, but last season, he missed 21 games due to injury. Gobert averaged 9.1 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game last season.

2. Hassan Whiteside – 85

Hassan Whiteside, as you can see, is rated higher than Rudy Gobert. To find out what fans think of this new rating, Ronnie Singh conducted a Twitter survey which was participated by close to 30,000 people. The result, 49 percent or the majority agree that the rating is just right.

Whiteside had a breakout year last season, averaging his best stats at 14.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 3.7 blocks (number 1 in the league) per game last season.

3. C.J. McCollum – 83

From NBA 2K16's rating of 72, C.J. McCollum now enjoys a rating upgrade which actually seems moderate given the fact that he won KIA Most Improved Player last season. He averaged 20.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.

4. Jordan McRae – 70

Jordan McRae of the Cleveland Cavaliers doesn't have much when it comes to NBA experience, but he's had his shining moments in the D-League. In one particular game, he set the record for most points by a player in the D-League at 61.

"NBA 2K17" gave McRae a rating of 70. He commented on how good-looking his facial rendition is, but also said he thinks the rating needs to go up.

5. Kay Felder – 69

Kay Felder of the Cleveland Cavaliers got a 69 rating for "NBA 2K17." Felder actually led the Summer League in point per game with 24.3, but his defensive limitations are probably what lowered his ratings.

The 5'9" point guard has a shot at being Kyrie Irving's back-up point guard if he continues to be aggressive offensively and defensively as well.
