Kobe Bryant, now a retired veteran who played his entire career for the Los Angeles Lakers, will be appearing on the Legend Edition cover for "NBA 2K17." Now, as stated in a report from Forbes, the standard edition will be launching simultaneously with the Legend Edition this September and will feature Paul George on the cover. The official "NBA 2K17" Twitter account made the big reveal Thursday, June 9.

The post reads, "Following a huge Game 3 Finals performance, A few weeks ago, it was announced that the retired basketball superstar, Kobe Bryant, would be gracing the covers of the Legend Edition of "NBA 2K17." However, it was still pretty much a mystery who would be on the cover of the standard edition of the game. Now, the game's developer, Visual Concepts, and its publisher, NBA 2K17 Sports, have finally unveiled the basketball stars that would be on the cover of the standard edition of the latest installment in the long running basketball video game franchise.

Apart from revealing the cover for the new game, the companies have also revealed that they will be launching the standard edition along with Legend Edition of the game at the same time. The game will be launched for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for the Windows PC on Sept. 20. Who's the last member? The NBA 2K17 simulation-based basketball game is all set to be released on September 20. The standard game edition is reported to be priced for $59.99, the Legend edition for $79.99, and the Legend Gold edition for $99.99.

According to Christian Daily, George is set to be the cover star of "NBA 2K17" Standard Edition while Bryant is set to be the cover athlete for the Legend Edition and the Kobe Legend Gold Edition. As per the publication, the Standard Edition costs $59.99 and the Legend Edition is priced at $79.99. Legend Edition Gold costs $99.99. It is further revealed that those who pre-order the NBA 2K17 game will have 5,000 Virtual Currency and MyTEAM bundle, which covers three packs with a Paul George Free Agent card.
